Snow, street by street
The desk knows before the radio does.
No more asking over the radio who has done what. Coverage fills in on the desk as trucks drive their routes, and it stays right when a truck comes back into signal with an hour of work on it.
Two gates per street
Every street gets a gate in each direction. A truck that drives through one clears it: no button, no radio call. A street is done when both directions are, and the map shows exactly which half is left.
Works with no signal
Detection runs on the phone in the cab. Work queues there and goes up when signal comes back, even hours later, and lands in the storm and the pass it was done in. A dead zone never loses a street.
A storm report for council
Salt, brine, fuel and hours become a cost per storm, and every line shows the rate it used and where that rate came from. Export it to a spreadsheet the night the storm closes.
A public plow map
Residents see which streets are done, on a delay you choose, embedded on your own city website. It answers “has my street been plowed?” before anybody picks up the phone.

Questions
What cities ask first.
- Do we need to buy hardware?
- No. Cab Hand runs on the phones and tablets your crew already has. Sign-in uses the phone’s own passkey, so nobody types a password in the cab.
- What if there is no cell signal on part of a route?
- It keeps working. The phone detects gates by itself and holds the work until signal returns. Nothing a driver does waits on the network.
- Can a driver just mark a street done?
- Yes. GPS misses things. But a street marked by hand is recorded as marked by hand, and every report counts the two apart.
- Who owns our data?
- You do. Each city gets its own database. We use it only to run Cab Hand for you, and you can have an export at any time.
- What does it cost after the pilot?
- The pilot is free for 60 days. Before it ends we talk about what comes next, and nothing is ever charged without your city’s written approval.
